Why Daylight links going beyond to existing surface.

Daylight links going beyond to existing surface

Introduction
In this chapter, we will learn about civil 3d corridors, assembly, daylight, datum, and sections and we solve a big problem why are daylight links going beyond the existing surface or not hitting the existing surface?
If this problem is not solved in civil 3d then we can’t get actual quantities of materials including earthwork quantities.
The solution is very easy, and we can solve this within a minute.

You see the problem in this picture the how-to daylight & datum links, finished ground levels and existing surface.

In this image, you can see the sample lines intervals or chainage, every 25 meters.

In this image, you can see the corridor frequency is 20 meters of corridor property.
Please change it as per your sample line intervals or match the sample line intervals as per your corridor frequency. As per my suggestion you change or match corridor frequency because of sample line intervals (sections) as we need of contract drawings and specifications then hit ok and rebuild the corridor.
If any doubt, you can watch my YouTube video which explains it well.
After this change you can check your section views, they will be exactly hitting the existing surface and daylight basic and finished surface lines will follow each other’s.
